You may think that a mouse pad has not been something people have needed since 2004! Well while many mice these days work just fine on your desk. If you want a more comfortable, accurate and easier experience you need a good mouse pad. As well as playing a ton of video games I also work all day on a computer and I can hand on heart tell you that a mouse pad makes my life so much easier.
I want to share with you guys the mouse pad I feel is the best on the market right now. As well as this though, I have another couple of mouse pads that are ideal if you are on a budget or want something a little more suited to the workplace.

The SteelSeries Gaming Mouse Pad is the best mouse pad I have ever used. The version I have is the XL and I know you may think that 30 bucks is a little steep for a mouse pad, but it is so great that I actually have one at work and also one for my gaming PC.
Why This Mouse Pad Is The Best
Want to know why I am so high on this mouse pad? Well here are the main reasons why I think that this is money well spent.
Different Sizes Available
While I went for the XL and in all honesty, I do not know why anyone would go any smaller, unless they have a small desk. One of the interesting things is that you can actually get this in four different sizes. The smaller you get the lower the price tag is so that is certainly something to think about.
Holds Keyboard + Mouse
Remember how mouse pads used to be back in the 90’s and early 00’s? They were so small and cramped that they were more of a pain in the butt than any actual help. The SteelSeries QcK Prism Cloth Gaming Mouse Pad though is large enough that it can have your keyboard sitting on it as well as giving you a ton of space to move your mouse. Heck, you could probably even fit something else on here if you want! You do not have to worry about running out of space when you are using your mouse with this. I have never once had that happen to me.
Thicker Than Normal Mouse Pads
While I think the asking price is more than fair. This also means that this is not some wafer thin mouse pad. It is nice and thick and has a fair bit of padding to it which actually makes working that little bit more comfortable. I use this along with a wrist rest and I never get sore or achy any more. The thickness also helps add to the overall quality and longevity of it.
Cool Light!
Ok, so this is not really something that has anything to do with the functionality of it. However, you can connect this to your PC and thanks to the lights, you can have it light up in all kinds of cool ways. There are even ways that if you are part of the Discord community you can connect it to that and have it light up a certain way to let you know when someone has sent a message. To be honest, I do not use it with that, but I love the way the lights work, they are actually pretty soothing and very easy to set just the way you want.
Great For Gaming
This is actually a very popular mouse pad in the competitive E-Sports scene. The reason for this is first of all how comfortable it is to use. Also though the bottom of it is non-slip. This means that it does not move around while you are moving the mouse like a crazy person trying to figure out who just snipped you in Black Ops IIII. While I use this mouse pad for both gaming and work, it really is ideal if you play a lot of competitive games.

First up I have the VicTsing Mouse Pad which may not be ideal for gaming. However, those of you who are looking for something that is going to make your work life easier or just messing around on the internet are going to love this. At under ten bucks, this thing is a real steal and great if you are sick of using your desk or even if you find being on the computer for a long time gives you a sore wrist.
While the actual mouse pad is the ideal size for work and it has a non-slip bottom. What I really like about this is how it has a gel wrist pad. This is going to make working on the computer much more comfortable. The fabric they have used has also been picked so that it will not irritate you as you are working. While it may not be the most exciting or fancy mouse pad out there if you want something that is ideal for work and cheap, you cannot go wrong with this.
Budget Friendly: Reflex Lab Large Extended Gaming Mouse Pad

The Reflex Lab Large Extended Gaming Mouse Pad is perfect if you are a gamer and want a mouse pad that is designed with gaming in mind but at a low price point. The largest version of this mouse pad which is actually the one I would suggest you get if you are a gamer is only 20 bucks! Considering the quality of the fabric and the stitching on this I think that is more than a fair price. If you are a gamer you want something that is going to be able to handle an all-night gaming session and also be comfortable, this does both.
The reason I really like this larger model is that it is so large it gives you a ton of space for your keyboard and your mouse. If you are playing a fast and frantic shooter the last thing you want is for your mouse to go off the pad! That will not happen with this as you really do have a lot of space to maneuver the mouse. If you want a gaming mouse pad that is large, comfortable and also around 20 bucks, you cannot go wrong with this.

The SteelSeries QcK Prism Cloth Gaming Mouse Pad really is a fantastic piece of kit. As I said, I have purchased two of these and I could not be any happier. For both work and gaming, they make things so much easier and comfortable that I really do not know how people use a computer and not have a mouse pad. I think that the 60 bucks asking price is very fair and I have no doubt you will get many years of use out of it. I will say if you are not sure if you want to spend that kind of money then take a closer look at the Reflex Lab Large Extended Gaming Mouse Pad as I write this it currently has a full five star rating on Amazon so people who have purchased it clearly love it.
