Fallout is one of the most unique games I’ve ever played and this made it extremely hard to fill the space it left one I’d completed it.
Now of course you have a few Fallouts to make your way through:
- Fallout 2
- Fall out 3
- Fallout New Vegas
- Fallout 4
But when you find a good game it’s easy to blast through a few different versions and start craving something similar but different.
This by far has been one of the hardest lists I’ve done so far, I just wanted to deliver something different than all the other articles out there and show you some games that aren’t the games you’ve played before.
Now I can’t promise that all the games on the list are exactly the same but, they do all share interests like the amazing open world, the RPG ranking system, the weapons and amazing story.
And before we get this madness started I wanted to tell you about Discounts… In this article I’ve searched the internet and teamed up with a few game sellers to get the cheapest game codes online… These codes give you instant access to the game and are half the price of shops and steam.
So let’s get this started!!!
Borderlands is one of the greatest games of all time and it has 90% of the same elements as Fallout…
…From the epic story, to the RPG ranking and leveling up and even with the looting and massive amounts of weapons and a semi-open world to explore.
And in honesty I think this game is better than Fallout, that’s why it’s right at the top.
Why is that?
Borderlands is a lot quicker paced with all the same systems. The only real difference is the gameplay and a different ranking system that doesn’t involve as many specific things, plus there’s not as much dialogue and having to talk to random people that take you an hour to find.
Far Cry 3 Or 4
Next to Borderlands Far Cry is one of the closest things you can get to a fallout game.
Far Cry has a gripping story, a massive explorable map, ways to level up your character.
Why is this game different? It has better gameplay mechanics (my opinion) and doesn’t have looting, but you have money, get items and take over parts of the map.
You go into war with people and you level up.
If you’re looking for an open world shooter, with a great story, tons of stuff to do and an amazing multiplayer/rpg fps feel then you should definitely get a copy.
Rage is like if Borderlands, Far Cry and Fall Out all had an amazing baby…
Rage is by the creators of quake and doom and it’s got an open map, tons of weird zombie like things to kill and loads of exploring and story to conquer.
There’s amazing driving and it’s all in this crazy post-apocalyptic world where all the rules have been removed and it’s every man/woman for themselves.
Is the closest game in both story and gameplay on this list.
Metro is a post-apocalyptic stealth fps where the world has been destroyed by a catastrophic event that nearly wiped out everyone (much like fall out).
In order to survive people had to head to the metro and start a new world there, but you need to go out and find supplies, people, etc.
There are some horrible things waiting for you.
Yeah! The games just keep getting better and better!
If you want a game that incorporates the RPG feel of Fall Out with customization, leveling up and making your mind up about the story, then Mass Effect will blow your mind.
This could be one of the best games on the list and is another game that’s just like fall out but with more alien killing.
The aliens are trying to take over the world and you’ll have to fight smart, use skills and put time in to save the world and be THE HERO!!!
I think this has one of the richest and most well-formed stories in any game and the RPG system is second to none, really makes you feel like you have control of who you are.
Like Cars? Killing People? Open World Maps?
If that’s a yes then holly molly you’re going to be in for a ride with this Max Max game.
What is a mad max game like? You’re in a post-apocalyptic world, with your number one job being to survive and that basically means killing everything.
The graphics on this game are intense and the map is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It’s one of the most amazingly looking games I’ve played and you can tune the hell out of your car to make it the most kick-butt-killing-machine around… What more can I say?
Plus there’s amazing storms, an awesome story, tons of side missions and action! Ton’s and tons of action!
Ow boy you knew I had to add BioShock to this list!
It’s only one of the best RPG, FPS and story based games EVER.
This list has honestly been one of the strongest lists of games I’ve ever created. All of these games with give you tens of hours of enjoyment and BioShock is no exception.
BioShock has to be one of the most creative games on the list, in this version you’ll be in the skies, fighting to rescue a girl who has been trapped.
The missions are incredible, the graphics are stunning and the story is out this world.
This games a little older, but it’s still holding strong.
Now S.T.A.L.K.E.R is a story strong game based in a post-apocalyptic world like most of these games. It’s has a rich story and is set following where the nuclear reactor explosion was in Chernobyl and it’s your job to go and see why 5 army helicopters have gone missing and in doing so you have to stand up to the stalker groups.
There’s lots of shooting, guts and awesomeness. You can get it for $7 using this steam discount link.
The Last Of Us
It’s a clean mix of uncharted gameplay, with fall out elements and is in a league of its own.
This is one of the most combat satisfying games I’ve seen, there’s nothing quite like smashing someones head against a wall, the crunch.
And having your daughter as a companion really makes it a difference it’s like your role as a player changes and it makes a deep connection to the story mode which I love.
This game is unique but is only for consoles. that being said I can get you a discount on it of 48% using the links below, and be sure to check out the awesome gameplay if you haven’t already.
7 Days To Die
I’m going to be completely honest with you, 7 days to die is a great game… If you have friends to paly it with.
I’ve played this game alone and it’s not awesome, it’s almost impossible. You need at least one friend to help you get resources and build an epic base.
If you have that then welcome to a real kick-butt game.
Basically you’re in an open world, zombies have taken over and your job is to survive as long as you can.
You need to build a sucure base, hide from the zombie hordes and get weapons… Lots and lots of weapons.
It has a very similar looting system to FallOut which makes it lots of fun and it has eliments of games like Minecraft, which is another reason why I love it.
I’m a massive fan of zombie games so I created a list of the 20 best zombie games ever.
Miscreated is a multiplayer hardcore survival games. It has looting, zombies, people trying to kill you and lots of spooky exploring.
Now this game isn’t really like FallOut but people who’re fans of Fallout will find it quite awesome (my opinion).
Now, this is another game that’s cracking to play with a few mates, while you explore, drive around and hunt the undead and other players. Mwhahaha.
If you’re interested you can get the game half priced here.
We Happy Few
One of the most awesome story concepts I’ve seen in a while. We Happy Few has a gangsta story line that basically takes you into a world where everyone needs to take the happy drug in order to live.
You decide not to take it, see the world for what it really is and then have all these psychos people try and hunt you down.
The game is still in beta, but if you enjoy games with an amazing story with Bioshock like gameplay you can get this game here at a much more reasonable price.
You knew Skyrim had to be on the list. It’s one of the most epic RPG, open world games money can buy.
With the gigantic map, the amazing storyline, the quests, the houses and the weapons and mechanics of the game there’s no wonder why this is one of the all time best games I’ve played.
It’s like Fallout if fall out was set back in time, there’s looting, ranking up, exploring and a magnificent open world.
It really is a treat for the eyes this game.
I’ll end it with a series I truly love.
Assassin’s Creed has been going for some time now and the story has kept me excited while the stealth gameplay has kept me wanting more.
There’s something so fun about the many ways you can play this game and with the newest having some of the funnest online modes I’ve played it really does make it an all round must have.
